Airbus February Deliveries Rebound Sharply, Though New Orders Remain Stagnant
Airbus delivered a solid 49 aircraft in February 2024, a significant rebound from the 20 jets handed over in January. This performance brings the manufacturer's year-to-date total to 79 aircraft, which is ahead of the pace set in the same period last year. The majority of the deliveries were from the A320neo family, highlighting the continued high demand for the narrowbody jet. However, the European planemaker did not secure any new gross orders during the month. After accounting for adjustments, the net order total for the year remains at 30 aircraft from January's activity.
