Airbase Georgia Secures Over $110,000 for P-47N Thunderbolt Restoration
Airbase Georgia has successfully raised more than $110,000 through its annual “12 Planes of Christmas” fundraising campaign. The funds are designated for the ongoing restoration of the group's rare Republic P-47N Thunderbolt. This specific aircraft is one of only two P-47N-2-RE models known to exist. The successful fundraising effort marks a significant milestone, providing the necessary capital to advance the restoration. This will allow the team to focus on completing the wing and fuselage assembly, moving the historic warbird closer to its first flight.
