Air New Zealand Sets Pricing for Economy Skynest, Offering a Lie-Flat Alternative to Premium Economy
Air New Zealand has officially released the pricing for its innovative Economy Skynest sleep pods. The six-bunk pods, available on ultra-long-haul routes, will cost between $400 and $600 NZD for a four-hour session. This fee is an ancillary charge on top of a standard economy fare. The airline's analysis suggests that for many travelers, booking an economy seat plus a Skynest session could be a more affordable option than purchasing a full premium economy ticket. This new product aims to provide a lie-flat sleep experience to passengers without the high cost of premium cabins.
