Air India Retrains Pilots After Runway Near-Miss at Delhi Airport
A serious safety incident occurred at Delhi's international airport involving a Vistara flight and an Air India flight. The Vistara aircraft was forced to abort its landing as the Air India plane was cleared for take-off on an intersecting runway. The two aircraft came within 1.8 kilometers of each other before the Vistara pilot initiated a go-around. Following the incident, Air India has de-rostered the pilots involved for retraining. India's aviation regulator, the DGCA, has launched an investigation into the serious safety breach.
