Air Eyes FAA's MOSAIC Rule For Production of its Air One eVTOL

Israeli startup Air plans to certify its two-seat Air One eVTOL under the FAA's proposed Modernization of Special Airworthiness Certificates (MOSAIC) rule. This would classify the aircraft as a light-sport aircraft (LSA), offering a faster and less expensive route to market than traditional type certification. The company has been flight-testing a full-scale prototype and is targeting the start of production in 2024. Air aims to begin customer deliveries in 2025, having already secured over 1,000 preorders for the personal-use aircraft.
