Air Cargo Rates Stabilize After Five-Month Climb
Global air cargo rates have finally stabilized following five consecutive months of increases. The current average rate is holding steady at $2.52 per kilogram, marking a significant pause in the recent upward trend. Despite this stability, prices remain 36% lower when compared to the same period last year. While overall demand saw a slight weekly dip, it remains higher year-on-year, with available capacity also showing significant growth. Key trade lanes show mixed results, with rates from Asia to Europe and North America declining, while the transatlantic westbound route saw a modest increase.
