Air Canada Cargo Completes Four-Year Digital Transformation with New Management System
Air Canada Cargo has successfully finalized a four-year project to replace its 40-year-old legacy system with IBS Software's iCargo platform. The new system aims to fully digitize the carrier's operations, enhancing efficiency, data visibility, and customer service. Launched just before the pandemic, the project was accelerated as resources became available due to the passenger downturn. This modernization allows the airline to better manage its expanding freighter fleet and cater to growing e-commerce and specialized cargo demands. The complex implementation involved integrating the iCargo platform with over 150 different systems across the airline's network.
