Aeon Blue Proposes Green Hydrogen-Based Sustainable Aviation Fuel Plant in Cape Breton
Aeon Blue is planning to develop a major sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production facility in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. The proposed plant will utilize green hydrogen and green methanol to produce approximately 110 million liters of SAF annually. This project aims to support the global aviation industry's urgent need for decarbonization solutions. The company is currently in the site selection phase and is conducting consultations with local communities and Mi’kmaq representatives. Final investment and development depend on securing offtake agreements, financing, and regulatory approvals.
