Ada High School Aviation Program Secures Runner-Up in Statewide Design Competition
The Ada High School aviation program has been named the runner-up in the statewide General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) "Build a Plane" competition. A team of six students developed a design for an aircraft, named the "Kodiak A-1," intended for delivering medical supplies to remote Alaskan communities. The students were judged on their design's specifications, a formal presentation, and a virtual flight test using X-Plane software. This achievement marks the fifth consecutive year the Ada program has placed in the top three. For their second-place finish, the school's aviation program received a prize of $3,000.
